Chelsea have just made their second successive European final, but Jose Mourinho is the talk of the town, with reports in England suggesting he has already confirmed a move in discussions with Roman Abramovich.

The Sun reports that the deal will be announced on July 1, but "Chelsea and the outgoing Real Madrid chief will shy away from publicly confirming any deal is done".

He has not yet severed his deal at Real Madrid, but the paper reports that his £10million-a-year package was sealed at the La Famiglia restaurant in Chelsea overnight.

Mourinho's presence was felt while Rafa Benitez was guiding Chelsea to the Europa League final. The Special One's name was already being chanted within 10 minutes, before cries of "Mourinho Coming Home" were chanted in the second-term.

It is reported they will use Mourinho’s appointment for publicity ahead of their summer program, and he will be back in charge for the friendly against a Singha All Stars XI in Thailand on July 17.

Mourinho's former assistant, now Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas, says he believes the deal has already been done.

"I am pretty sure the decision has already been taken," he said.

"It seems that he is happy to return to England and Chelsea are one of the clubs who are looking for a manager and it seems very, very likely that he will end up there.

"It’s extremely unlikely when someone makes it that public that something is not set out already."

Meanwhile, the Mourinho silly season has already started in earnest. Reports in Spain claim Mourinho is still tempting Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski to Chelsea over Bayern Munich, while the Daily Mail reports that current Spain and Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso is a priority target for Mourinho for when he arrived in London.
